About Us.

The journey of Pellucid began not long after the Global Financial Crisis when Advisors wanted to provide a better solution to clients in regard to risk and volatility. Custom portfolios were built for this specific purpose and were successfully managed until the portfolio manager went through ownership changes that moved them away from their core values.  As a result, Pellucid was started in 2025 and has taken over management of these same portfolios – to ensure the legacy that was created to provide the conduit between the client and fund manager is restored.  We love working with advisors because we understand their world and want to have a positive impact on advisory groups and their clients with knowledge, experience and understanding.

Transparent and Simple.

Transparent

The founders of Pellucid have always run business with the end client and their outcomes in mind.  This remains consistent within the funds management business, and is the reason Pellucid was born.  Advisors act as a conduit between the end client and funds management.  Pellucid aims to facilitate this and provide advisors with more insight and better look-through to the inner workings of diversified portfolios.

Simple

Through experience – particularly in the last couple of years – it is apparent that the funds management industry can be made very complex.  With this complexity comes cost and risk. We will strive into the future to break down this complexity, to simplify investing for advisors and their clients.

The Key principles of Pellucid Asset Management

Transparency

  • Pellucid aims to provide a Transparent Multi Manager offering to investors via Financial Planning Groups that will allow Financial Planning groups to be part of the process and provide insight to the Portfolio Managers regarding the client's requirements and risk tolerances.

  • This transparency extends to working relationships such as Platform, Administration/Custody providers, Licence providers and Trustees.

Process

  • Pellucid will have a strong process in place to ensure appropriate outcomes for clients. These will be documented and followed.

  • We will be looking to improve policy and process whenever we can and will utilise the resources available to us to do this.  Continuous Improvement is a Core Value.

  • Appropriate DD will be completed on each investment that goes into the portfolios and the process will be consistent for all additions to the portfolios.

Good Governance

  • The portfolios were run with very good governance when previously managed by DMG.  This will be the case with Pellucid given 80% of the same team will be involved.

  • Whilst there will be conflicts we will be managing these appropriately and they will be transparent.  Our Board will consist of 4 Director and the Independent Chair will have the deciding vote.  Our IMC will have a non-director, non- share holder DMG Client representative Michael Roberts along with Bart Dowling and Brendan Foley so the majority of the IMC are non-shareholders of Pellucid.
